The announcement atom type is now part of the documented atom library on the Spectare atoms page, alongside feature, pricing, case-study, faq, comparison, howto, and testimonial. It is described there as one time-limited fact, dated with a validity window, that renders as the bar above the page and disappears the moment its window closes.

An example shown on the page is an early-bird pricing deadline that is valid until a set date and shown to every audience until then. This makes the announcement type a first-class citizen in the authoring UI, so content teams can understand its purpose and constraints before writing one.

The type is backed by the AnnouncementBar component in the announce zone, which sits above the hero zone on every page where it is placed. Because the validity window is enforced at serve time, nothing needs to be unpublished manually when the deadline passes.

For B2B and SaaS workspaces this means time-sensitive copy such as launch offers, conference appearances, or feature release notices can be managed entirely within the atom library, with the same audience and stage tagging that governs every other atom type.

This is one atom from the Spectare content library. Spectare assembles the right atoms for each visitor in real time, based on who they are and how they arrived.
