Does experimentation affect every visitor? Only the proportion you set. If the exploration rate is 10%, nine in ten visitors see the proven arrangement and one in ten sees an experimental one. The proven arrangement is always served to the majority.
What does setting the rate to 0 do? It activates the adaptive default, not an off switch. Exploration never stops entirely because it is the mechanism Spectare uses to learn. At 0, the effective rate is high while the workspace is young and tapers automatically as conversions accumulate. Set a specific value only if you want to pin the rate by hand, which requires manual controls to be enabled on the Personalisation tab.
Can I pin a specific exploration rate in learning mode? No. In learning mode the slider is visible but read-only, because Spectare is managing exploration automatically. The header of the Experimentation section explains what is happening and links to the Personalisation tab where you can switch to manual controls if you want to override the adaptive behaviour.
How long does it take to see results? The system learns from every conversion, so the speed depends on your traffic volume. Higher exploration rates generate data faster but expose more visitors to unproven arrangements. The adaptive default is calibrated to balance learning speed against serving quality as your conversion history grows.
