Does experimentation affect every visitor?
Only the proportion you set. If exploration rate is 10%, nine in ten visitors see the proven arrangement. One in ten sees an experimental one. The rest of your site is unaffected.
What exactly is being tested?
The arrangement: which atoms appear, in what order, rendered with which component types. The atom content itself is never changed during a test.
How long until I see results?
That depends on your traffic and the signal threshold you set. At 50 impressions (the default), a site with 500 monthly visitors and 10% exploration might take a few months. At 500 impressions you need more traffic. Lower the threshold if you want earlier signals with less confidence.
What happens when a winner is found?
Nothing automatically changes. Spectare shows you which arrangement converts best. You decide whether to act on it. You can lower the exploration rate to serve the winner to more visitors, or leave experimentation running to keep collecting signal.
Do I need to set up goals or events?
No. Set a conversion URL pattern in Settings and Spectare fires automatically when a visitor reaches it. Or call spectare('conversion') manually from any page.
